Little Yellow — Anan

Little Yellow — Anan
There was once a little yellow bird named Anan. But we called him Little Yellow. And he was one of the sweetest little souls we had ever known.
He was soft, gentle, playful, and so very cute. Little Yellow loved being close to us. He would stand on our heads as if they were his favorite little perches, and he would let us kiss him without running away. He trusted us. He loved us. And we loved him more than he could ever have understood.
Sometimes, he would quietly disappear. We would look around and wonder where our little Yellow had gone. And then we would find him... secretly pecking Mommy's books.
He wasn't naughty. Of course not. He was just Little Yellow. Perhaps he was trying to read. Perhaps he was editing Mommy's books. Nobody knows. But there was someone who understood Little Yellow better than anyone else. Lucky — Qq. They were best friends. They played together, followed each other around, explored together, and shared their little birdie world. Where one was, the other was often nearby. They were a little team. Two tiny birds with a friendship much bigger than their tiny bodies.
Then one day, Little Yellow became sick. We became worried and took him to the clinic. The doctor couldn't recognize what was wrong. So we brought our little birdie home. And we tried everything we could. We stayed with him. We watched him. We tried to help him. We hoped. We fought for him. But somehow, that day became the day we had to say goodbye. After Yellow left, we tried so hard to comfort Lucky. Because Lucky had lost his best friend too. The house felt different. Lucky was different. And we could only wish that our little Qq could somehow understand that Yellow hadn't simply disappeared. He had gone somewhere we couldn't follow yet. Because I want to believe that Little Yellow didn't go into nothing. I want to believe that he went to join our little family. And somewhere beyond what we can see... they were waiting for him.
The Place Beyond
There was a beautiful place beyond the clouds. A place filled with endless trees, soft grass, warm sunlight, and gentle winds. There were no cages there. No sickness. No pain. No fear. Only peace. And one day, through the warm light, a tiny yellow bird appeared. It was Little Yellow. He looked around. He stretched his little wings. And then he heard something familiar. A happy voice. A familiar little chirp. Someone was coming toward him. It was Pistachio.
Pp. Pp looked at Yellow for a moment. Then his little eyes became bright. He knew him. "The little yellow bird has arrived," Pp said. Yellow looked at him. "Pp?" Pp smiled. "Come on, Anan. We've been waiting for you." And then Yellow heard another sound. Woof! A happy dog came running across the grass. It was Kooteek, her tail wagging so hard that the grass around her danced. Behind her came her little cubs, tumbling over one another, excited to meet the new arrival. Kooteek gently approached Yellow. "Welcome to the family," she said. The cubs bounced around him, amazed by his tiny yellow wings. Yellow laughed and fluttered happily. Then, from the branches above, came four familiar faces. Fish was there first. The clever cat moved gracefully along the branch, looking down at Yellow with the same calm, knowing eyes. Next came Mouse, curious as always, carefully coming closer to inspect the little newcomer. Then Kettle, the first cat, calm and wise, watched quietly from the warm sunlight. And beside them was Angel, gentle and bright, resting peacefully in the light. Yellow looked around. He couldn't believe it. He wasn't alone. His family was here. All of them. Fish looked at Pp, then at Yellow. "The little bird has finally joined us." Mouse came closer. "He is very small." Kettle smiled. "But his heart is big." Angel moved gently toward Yellow. "Don't be afraid." And Kooteek's cubs were already running around him in circles. Yellow chirped happily. For the first time since leaving home, he wasn't frightened. He understood. He had not disappeared. He had simply arrived somewhere else. Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere his family was waiting. Pp flew up beside him. "Come," he said. "There are many trees here." Yellow followed. They flew together through the warm golden light. Below them, Kooteek guarded the family like a proud mother. Her cubs chased each other through the grass. Fish watched from a branch. Mouse explored every corner. Kettle rested peacefully in the sun. Angel slept among the flowers. And Pp and Yellow flew together above them. Two little birds. Two friends. Two brothers. Together again. And perhaps, somewhere far away, Lucky was looking up at the sky. Maybe he didn't understand where his best friend had gone. Maybe he still looked for Yellow sometimes. Maybe he missed their games. Maybe the house still felt too quiet. But perhaps, somehow, Lucky could feel something. A tiny warmth. A familiar presence. Because friendship doesn't disappear simply because one friend has gone ahead. And Little Yellow was not alone. He had Pp. He had Fish. He had Mouse. He had Kettle. He had Angel. He had Kooteek. He had the little cubs. He had his family. And perhaps, every now and then, Yellow looked back toward our world. He remembered Mommy. He remembered Daddy. He remembered Lucky. He remembered the heads he used to sit on. The kisses he used to receive. The games. The laughter. And, of course...
Mommy's books. Perhaps he smiled. Perhaps he thought, "I hope Mommy knows I was only helping with those books." We miss you, Little Yellow. Lucky misses you. Mommy misses you. Daddy misses you. But you are not forgotten. You are not alone. You are simply ahead of us. You went to join the family that was already waiting. And one day... when our own journey is finished... we will go there too. Not today. Not yet. We still have things to do here. We still have people to love. We still have Lucky to take care of. We still have memories to make. We still have lives to live. But one day, when our journey is finished, perhaps we will find that beautiful place. And perhaps we will hear familiar little sounds. Perhaps Fish will come walking gracefully toward us. Perhaps Mouse will come running with curiosity. Perhaps Kettle will be waiting calmly. Perhaps Angel will be resting in the warm light. Perhaps Kooteek will run toward us, her tail wagging. Perhaps her little cubs will come tumbling behind her. And perhaps Pp and Yellow will fly down from the trees. Maybe Yellow will land on our heads again. Maybe Pp will sit beside him. And perhaps, before anyone can say hello… Little Yellow will disappear for a moment. We will look around. And then we'll find him… pecking Mommy's books again. Because some things never change. And when we finally see him again, we will know: Our little family was never truly lost. They were only waiting for us. So fly peacefully, our sweet Anan. Fly with Pp. Play with your friends. Run with Kooteek and her cubs. Rest with Fish, Mouse, Kettle, and Angel beneath the warm sunlight. And wait for us. Because someday, little Yellow… we will come home. Wait for us.
